Senior Piping Designer (Multiple Positions)Location: Offshore, SurinameContract Type: 3-month contractStart Date: Tentative 11/3/2026 (subject to onboarding; preference for immediate availability)Work Schedule: 8 hours per day (exclusive of 1 hour lunch break)Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive load analysis to determine the effects of weight, thermal expansion, and dynamic forces on piping supports.- Select appropriate support types such as hangers, anchors, guides, or spring supports based on system requirements.- Specify materials for supports that are compatible with piping and suitable for environmental conditions.- Optimally determine support location and spacing to ensure proper support and prevent excessive stress or deflection.- Design supports considering thermal expansion and contraction of the piping system to avoid undue stress.- Implement vibration and resonance control features to minimize the risk of fatigue and failure.- Ensure support design complies with relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME, ANSI, or local codes).- Integrate supports with building or plant structures through coordination with structural engineers.- Produce detailed drawings and specifications for supports, including dimensions, materials, and installation instructions.- Perform equipment and piping 3D modelling.- Update 3D equipment and piping models based on company and consultant feedback from model reviews.- Check 3D models for clashes and overall readiness.- Produce and issue 2D drawings as needed (up to AFC deliverable stage).- Perform pipe support design activities, including modelling and drawing (if required).- Carry out isometric production tasks.- Undertake all piping and layout activities as required.- Prepare analysis reports, calculations, and maintain records of analysis inputs, results, and revisions.- Collaborate closely with other engineering teams, supporting fabrication, installation, and inspection activities.- Ensure rigorous adherence to applicable codes, standards, and project specifications; participate in design reviews and quality checks.Requirements:- Demonstrated experience as a Senior Piping Designer, particularly on offshore projects.- Strong knowledge of piping and support design, including 3D and 2D modelling.- In-depth familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASME, ANSI).- Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.- Excellent documentation, detailing, and reporting skills.- Immediate availability is preferred.This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role on an offshore project, working alongside a high-performing team, and to contribute your expertise to ensure the structural integrity and reliability of critical infrastructure.
