About The RoleWith a strong pipeline of work, it’s an exciting time to join the McConnell Dowell whānau. We are looking for a proactive and detail-focused Senior Planner who can bring energy, expertise, and collaboration to our projects.Key Tasks Will IncludeEstablish, collaborate and work closely with bid teams on the preparation of compliantce tender programmes. Establish and maintain the Integrated Master Programme (Design, Subcontracts, Procurement, Management Plans, Consent/Permitting, Construction, Precommissioning, Commissioning and Handover) on both the Baseline and Current Programme.Regularly update and amend programmes to reflect actual progress, the impact of scope changes, variations and extension of time (EoT).Implement and manage Programmes ion Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 to provide accurate progress updates, variance reports, critical path analysis, logic change reports, forecasting, together with providing advice to the project team on delays and mitigation strategies.Develop and maintain monthly Dashboard reporting (Progress Measurement System, Progress Curves and histogram) and provide clear progress reporting and delay/variance analysis for project and senior leadership teams.Work closely and collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and planners to ensure smooth and efficient project delivery.What You’ll NeedRelevant tertiary qualification in engineering, construction, or a related field.5–10 years’ experience in planning/scheduling within the construction industry.Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project Planner.Ability to interpret technical drawings, quantities and data.Knowledge of and experience in multi discipline environments (Civil Infrastructure, Mechanical, piping and Electrical).Knowledge of and experience with Last Planner and other Short Term Lookahead Programme tools.Highly organised with excellent communication skills.Proficient in software applications (Excel, Word & MSPP), with a solid understanding of wider digital tools (3D, Navisworks etc).About UsMcConnell Dowell – Creative ConstructionOur purpose is Providing a Better Life.
