Senior Portfolio Accountant - Role can be based in Dublin or Galway!A growing development firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Finance team.The Role:Lead monthly and quarterly reporting for assigned portfolios, producing clear management accounts, variance commentary, and schedules.Own bank, control, and balance sheet reconciliations with complete, auditable backup and timely resolution of reconciling items.Prepare Irish VAT returns and related filings; coordinate with external advisers where required and keep records aligned with local requirements.Produce audit-ready files, respond to audit queries, and liaise with internal and external auditors to agreed timelines.Support AP/AR integrity: oversee coding accuracy, review aged items, manage suspense and unallocated cash, and provide cash-flow visibility to the business.Assist with system upgrades and ensure effective controls are in place. The Person: Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) and ideally 2-4 years PQEClear, confident communicator able to explain financial matters to non-finance colleagues and clients.Sound understanding of management accounting, reconciliations, journals, and financial controls in a deadline-driven environment.
