Job Description
The RoleYou’ll be working across the French Connection brand, collaborating with the existing brand group including Design, Studio, Buying, E-commerce and Licencing. This role will drive creativity and innovation across all projects and media, ensuring that every channel conveys the brand attitude and distinct tone of voice. This is a great opportunity for a creative and commercial Marketing Manager to get involved in all parts of the business. The position will manage a wider team of six, with three direct reports as well as overseeing the activities of the external PR agency. The candidate must have fashion retail experience and at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role at Marketing Manager level or above. Key ResponsibilitiesBrand / Media and Multi-Channel Communications - Drive and execute the seasonal multi-channel media and ATL advertising strategy, working alongside the media agency. -Deliver effective multi-channel marketing communications each season, considering all touch points to drive reach and engagement across each channel.-Customer data expertise: ability to ensure all marketing communications adopt a customer first approach.-Responsibility to ensure all retail and digital communications follow brand guidelines and have a cohesive tone of voice in terms of copy and creative.- Actively seek, develop and leverage relevant opportunities to drive new customer acquisition throughout the season, including partnerships and collaborations with external brands, new partners, and any relevant wholesale accounts.-Collaborate with the in-house studio team and Production Manager with campaign photoshoots, content development projects and any other production-oriented projects.-Develop collaborative ways of working with PR and the PR agency to ensure VIPs/influencers and events and any other advertising / brand initiatives are aligned.-Working with the brand licencing manager ensure that all licensees are kept up to date with brand strategy and seasonal asset distribution. Also be the touchpoint to ensure licensees are following brand guidelines in their own territories and product categories.Social Media, Content & Talent- Manage the Social Media & Content Editor to establish the content marketing calendar working with the digital, in-house studio and graphic teams to create on-brand assets to be used across all social media and communication channels. -Manage the Social & Content Editor to drive the organic social strategy across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok and YouTube, to drive growth and engagement. Ensure regular reporting on social performance. -Blog management – working with the Social & Content Editor to concept, create and oversee all written content for the blog. -Responsible for brand and communications copy; emails, online features, brand books, catalogues, marketing collateral, in-store signage.-Collaborate with the performance marketing team to amplify paid social campaigns, build social awareness campaigns and ensure social TOV is consistent.-Lead and drive the brand influencer marketing strategy to ensure all collaborations are achieving set goals alongside maintaining influencer relationships and proposing new talent, where relevant.-Manage the relationship with influencer and talent agencies to execute additional partnerships, ensuring on time delivery of content and reporting.Retail Marketing & Events - Establish and lead the retail marketing strategy, to drive store footfall including any relevant initiatives and promotions with a 360 approach that incorporates retail, ecommerce and social objectives. Working collaboratively with area managers and centres to support our local marketing strategy. - Management of any in store POS materials, working closely with graphics and creative teams to produce relevant, engaging and innovative messaging. Thinking of how these can be used globally and continue to build a consistent message in all markets.- Manage the Marketing Coordinator to plan and activate the consumer event strategy that includes store events, regional partnerships and local marketing.- Develop and lead marketing plans around new store openings, including pop-ups, Outlets and concessions.Additional -Collaborate cross functionally with digital, CRM, retail, buying, finance and design teams.-Point of contact for marketing enquiries from wholesale and international teams. Managing any seasonal ad-hoc advertising and marketing for key wholesale partners, ie. ASOS, Next, M&S.-Manage and track all Marketing and PR budgets, effectiveness and ROI reporting.-Compile and present to any internal teams or external stakeholders; including stores, partners and international meetings alongside representing the company at external events where needed.PR -Create and execute the brand PR strategy across press/digital and social channels. -Oversee the Senior Press Officer and manage the PR agency to set the seasonal PR strategy; driving positive coverage and meeting KPI targets.-Alongside the PR agency; maintain existing relationships and continue to build press relationships with all relevant titles, digital/social influencers and organisations, ensuring the brand is front of mind for all contacts at all times.-Alongside the PR agency; plan, organise and execute the seasonal PR launch events with appropriate audiences, maximising attendance and subsequent coverage, ensuring KPIs are met by the agency.-Oversee product placement and brand ambassador programs, continually improving and enhancing brand associations and relationships-Partner with social media and the content editor to drive seasonal influencer strategy to maximise growth of social and digital coverage.-Manage the PR agency reporting, sharing updates internally both weekly and monthly. Monitor competitor and local market activity and react/feedback accordingly.-Budget management - control, manage and minimise all costs efficiently within planned budgets for the press office and ensure the PR agency are working to agreed budgets.The candidate must have fashion retail experience and at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role at Marketing Manager level or above.
