In this ambition, Eurostar Press Relations will play a major role.An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Eurostar as its Senior Press Officer. The main aim of the Senior Press Officer within the Eurostar Paris Press Bureau is to devise and execute innovative PR campaigns tailored to support broader business objectives. Additionally, the role involves ensuring compliance with communication strategies and objectives in day-to-day activities.This is a permanent position, which can be based either at our UK Head Office in Kings Place, or in our offices in Paris or Brussels.Internal use only: This role is Grade 6 (E EIL; F THIF).MissionsAssist in the development and delivery of individual media relations plans in support of the agreed strategy, positioning Eurostar favourably in key French media Work closely with the commercial team to exploit all opportunities for positive coverage Act as one of a team of spokespeople for the organisation, both reactively and proactively, in response to media enquiries and issues. Write high quality press materials tailored to individual media and markets - press releases, plans, Q&As, briefing documents in French. Build and maintain a strong network of relevant media contacts Assist in the organisation of external events for press and other key stakeholders Take part in the on-call roster, providing out-of-hours media relations support, acting as a spokesperson on all matters relating to Eurostar for both reputation promotion and protectionOrganise and escort press trips working with appropriate partners (tourist boards, hotels, restaurants etc) Arrange and escort filming and photography, including preparing contracts and ensuring company-wide briefings are sent to all the relevant parties Manage the press office inbox and deal with requests for travel booking, information, press facilities, imagery and filming. Assist in the development and delivery of communication plans, including briefings and Q&As, for issues and crises situations ensuring a consistent and effective responseEncourage teamwork within the press team and the Communications Department, as well as interaction with the company's operational and functional departmentsCarry out your duties rigorously, taking all necessary steps to ensure the creation of error-free documentsRequirements2+ years' experience in previous PR and media relations roles, in agency and/or in-house environments Good knowledge of the French media landscape with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships Strong interpersonal and client management skills Creative, flexible and outgoing personality with a strong sense of responsibility, commitment and drive Strong writing and verbal skills in French Fluent in French. English full professional proficiency. Ability to work independently and to deadline A team player, both service oriented and results driven The role requires very regular travel between Brussels, Amsterdam, Paris and London.
