Onboard Systems Hoist & Winch, located in Anaheim, CA is one of the world’s leading providers of Search & Rescue (SAR) and Human External Cargo (HEC) advanced mission equipment for civil, commercial, and military helicopters.Position OverviewLocation: Anaheim, CA (Onsite)Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pmThe Senior Production Planner is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining production and material plans to support both aerospace manufacturing and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) operations. This role ensures materials, components, and shop orders are properly scheduled to meet customer demand while maintaining efficiency, cost control, and compliance with industry standards.What You’ll DoDevelop and maintain production schedules and material plans based on demand forecasts, customer requirements, and capacity constraints.Coordinate with purchasing and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials and repair parts to support both production and MRO activities.Review and release shop orders, ensuring all required components and documentation are available prior to start of production or repair.Monitor progress of manufacturing and repair orders to identify potential delays, constraints, or shortages, and coordinate corrective actions.Maintain accurate data in the ERP system, including lead times, order status, and completion dates.Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, purchasing, customer management, and quality teams to align production priorities and material flow.Support daily production meetings by providing updates on schedule adherence, shortages, and key risks.Analyze capacity and material availability to recommend adjustments to production plans as needed.Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, system utilization, and communication across departments.Utilize ERP and reporting tools to track performance metrics, monitor progress, and support data-driven decision-making.Who You AreBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years experience in production planning, material coordination, or scheduling. Experience in aerospace MRO environments strongly preferred.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (IFS, SAP, or similar).Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes, repair workflows, and industry regulations is a plus.APICS or related supply chain certification is a plus.What’s In It For YouBenefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, disabilityPaid time off and holidays 401(k) plan with employer contribution matchingIn addition to offering competitive wages and benefits, Onboard Systems also offers the opportunity to increase your future earnings tied to growth in company performance.
