Senior Programmer / Analyst

MCB Group is looking for a Senior Programmer/Analyst to join our Host Applications team in the Digital Transformation Office. In this role, you will be accountable for the effective development and control of assigned applications, ensuring high-quality project deliverables and efficient system performance. You will play a vital role in scoping project efforts and providing technical expertise to support our core banking environment.Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will be a key player in our Digital Transformation Office. Your primary responsibilities will be to:Develop, implement, and support complex application systems by analyzing user requirements and providing innovative solutions.Design, code, and debug complex RPGLE programs and batch automation using CLP/CLLE.Ensure the delivery of high-quality products by formulating design specifications and conducting thorough testing (unit, system, and integration).Provide critical production support by evaluating problem logs, resolving system incidents, and participating in the on-call resource pool.Collaborate with stakeholders to update and upgrade existing applications and interfaces within the MCB environment.Qualifications & Specialized KnowledgeWe are looking for a dedicated professional who brings the following:Must-Haves:Experience: Minimum 5 years as a Programmer/Analyst using RPG, RPG/ILE, CLP, and CLLE in an AS/400 / I-series environment.Education: MBO/SBO level 4 or higher in Computer Science.Domain Expertise: Proven experience with ISO-8583 and card payment processing systems.Technical Stack: Proficiency in RPG IV, RPGILE, CLP, CLLE, and I-Series databases like DB2.Languages: Fluency in English, Dutch, and Papiamento (written and oral).Specialized Competencies:Technical Tools: Literacy with X-Analysis, SQL Query, Query 400, and MS Office 365 (including Visio and Project).Core Processing: Strong knowledge of Core Banking processes and payment/messaging flows (clearing and settlement).SDLC Mastery: Comprehensive understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle.Core Competencies for SuccessProblem-Solving: The ability to troubleshoot under pressure and innovate designs that fulfill Bank needs efficiently.Adaptability: Managing multiple project deliverables simultaneously and adapting to changing priorities or market conditions.Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills for cross-unit teamwork and goal-driven collaboration.Documentation Quality: Commitment to high-quality technical and functional documentation.
