Location: RAAF Base Williamtown Category: Finance Position Type: Permanent Job Reference: BOE/1856699WIL Attachments: Share This: The Opportunity We are seeking a talented Senior Project Accountant to join our Boeing Defence Australia Finance team location in Brisbane or Williamtown. This role consists of project accounting and cost control management and reportingto support projects across the BDA Portfolio. Our Finance professionals play a key role in guiding critical business decisions and cutting-edge solutions for the world's leading aerospace company. Responsibilities:Collaborate and offer high-level support to the Project Finance and central finance teams.Generate both standard and custom financial reports for internal and external use, and present them to relevant stakeholders as needed.Prepare annual Estimates at Completion (EAC).Assist with annual and ad-hoc external audits when necessary.Complete the month-end process, including necessary journal entries, revenue recognition, and reconciliations of general and balance sheet accounts, along with all required reporting.Advise management on financial performance forecasts based on financial and business insights and experience.Conduct variance analysis and explain operational and financial performance to various stakeholders throughout the organization.Analyze, interpret, prepare, and reconcile financial data.Oversee and process monthly customer invoicing.Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and actively participate in improvement initiatives.Provide training and mentorship to other team members. Experience/Qualifications The successful candidate will ideally have sound knowledge across some/all of the following areas: Bachelor Degree in finance, business or commerce; or equivalent experience in the workforceRelevant experience in a project accounting, management accounting or cost control roleIntermediate Excel SkillsAbility to adapt to different situations, be proactive and organise priorities autonomously to meet deadlinesGood communication skills and ability to collaborate with a broad range of stakeholdersExperience in a fast paced environment Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.
