This is a hands-on, leadership role requiring a deep understanding of pharmaceutical engineering and construction. Key Responsibilities · Overall Project Leadership: Provide direct supervision and management of all phases of the project lifecycle: initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure.· On-Site Management: Serve as the primary on-site authority, overseeing all contractors, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure work is performed to the required standards and specifications.· Budget and Cost Control: Develop, manage, and maintain the total project budget. Provide clear, concise, and regular progress reports.· Quality and GMP Compliance: Ensure all project deliverables adhere to stringent quality standards and are designed and built in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), EU regulations, and other relevant guidelines.· Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Champion a zero-incident safety culture. Enforce strict HSE protocols on site, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.· Contract Management: Manage all project contracts, including negotiation, administration, and performance evaluation of engineering firms, construction teams, and equipment suppliers.· Risk Management: Identify, assess, and develop mitigation strategies for project risks related to cost, schedule, quality, and safety. Qualifications and Experience · Minimum of 10 years of progressive project management experience, specifically within the pharmaceutical industry (e.g., API, solid dosage, sterile production, biotechnology facilities).· Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale (>€10M) pharmaceutical capital projects from design to qualification.· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is strongly preferred (Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical). A Master's degree is a plus.· Formal project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable. Required Skills and Competencies · Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical processes, clean utilities (PW, WFI, pure steam), HVAC, and process equipment installation.· Financial Acumen: Expert-level skills in budgeting, cost forecasting, and financial control.· Scheduling Proficiency: Advanced user of project scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6).· Regulatory Knowledge: Thorough understanding of GMP, EHS regulations, and EU/FDA standards for pharmaceutical facilities.· Leadership: Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to direct and motivate multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams.· Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive and results-driven attitude.· Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and Romanian.· Negotiation: Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills. What We Offer · A pivotal leadership role in a strategic project for a respected pharmaceutical company.· A competitive compensation and benefits package.· The opportunity to work with a dedicated team and advanced technologies.· A professional and dynamic work environment. --- To Apply: Please submit your detailed CV and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and why you are the right candidate for this role at Novator Pharma. Novator Pharma is an equal opportunity employer.
