At Griffin’s Snacks, we’re proud of our heritage and being New Zealand’s largest snack food company, producing a large range of iconic and much-loved kiwi brands - many of which have been known and loved for generations.To support us as we embark on an exciting period of Site development and growth, we’re looking for a seasoned Senior Project Manager to join us on a fixed term contract until around March 2028 based at our Wiri manufacturing site in South Auckland, where we produce our chips and bars (including Snackachangi, ETA Ripples and Nice & Natural).This opportunity would be perfect for a driven project leader with a passion for delivering high-impact capital projects in fast-paced manufacturing environments! In this pivotal role, you’ll be leading site capital investment projects, with prime accountability for the project planning, execution and delivery and the management of both internal and external stakeholders.Alongside providing strategic guidance both at the outset and throughout the project (ensuring appropriate systems are implemented to manage the project), you’ll also be managing budgets, timelines and contractors to ensure projects are driving operational efficiency and delivered safely on time and within budget.What will you be responsible for?Delivering the agreed project/s scope on time, to budget and to the required specificationLeading, coaching and engaging a team of 4 direct reportsStakeholder management, ensuring effective collaboration and clear communications between all internal and external team involved in project/sEnsuring project direction and goals are aligned with operational needs, managing milestones and project timelines whilst delivering seamless integration of project outcomes into business operationsMonitoring and controlling project scope, objectives and interdependencies, alongside risk management and mitigationSetting and maintaining project governance structuresDelivering the capital works including procurement, construction and commissioningChampioning a safety culture by leading by example, ensuring compliance with all company and legislative requirements.What you’ll bring to the role:Degree-qualified in Engineering, Project Management, or related technical field12+ years’ experience managing complex, high-value capital projects in FMCG, food, beverage, or process manufacturing environmentsProven experience leading complicated capital projects, including the management of cross-functional teams and contractorsStrong understanding of construction, equipment installation, commissioning, and validation processesA passion for driving projects with strategic vision and applying a proactive, entrepreneurial mindsetAbility to balance multiple - and often conflicting - priorities across projects, stakeholders, and business objectivesExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex project information to stakeholders at all levels, from site teams to senior leadershipProven negotiation and influencing capabilities, using diplomacy and persuasive communicationProven ability to influence and engage stakeholders to drive cultural and organisational changeWhat can you expect in return?
