Best of Belgium: Four Brussels museums launch combo ticket to experience iconic Belgian products

Priced at €49, it is 20% less than the cost of a single entry to each museum, according to the city of Brussels. All four sites are located in the historic city centre, less that 500m from each other. You could for example start your journey at the Frietmuseum in Rue de l'Étuve, sited next to the famous Manneken Pis. Fries are one of Belgium’s most popular and iconic specialities. Take this n opportunity to taste authentic fries cooked according to the distinctive double frying technique. Follow this experience with something sweet at the Choco Story Museum in the same street. Here you can trace the journey of cocoa from its origins in Mayan temples 5,000 years ago to Belgian chocolate craft today. It is a chance to enjoy some cocoa delights while learning about the product’s long and global history. For your third stop, why not head to the Comic Art Museum, housed in a Victor Horta-designed Art Nouveau building in Rue des Sables. Belgium is home to more than 700 comic strip creators, who have played an influential in the ninth art for some 100 years. The museum celebrates this long heritage as well as world-famous characters such as Tintin, Lucky Luke and the Smurfs, who represent only a small part of Belgium’s dense cartoon landscape. This diverse and colourful route concludes with the Belgian Beer World Experience, located in the city’s emblematic former stock exchange. Belgium produces almost 1,500 types of beer using different fermentation methods and the museum celebrates this illustrious brewing heritage. In 2016, Belgium’s beer culture was awarded Unesco intangible cultural heritage status, testimony to its expertise in producing tasty brews.
