As a senior member, you’ll architect and lead the development of mission-critical backend systems that power our comprehensive real estate platform serving buyers, sellers, agents, and investors. You’ll mentor junior developers, drive technical excellence, and play a pivotal role in shaping our technology strategy for property management, transaction processing, and market analytics. Qualifications Education Level: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. Experience Required: Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in backend development with proven expertise in building large-scale, distributed systems and leading technical initiatives in PropTech or similar platforms. Role Summary You will architect and develop backend systems for high-scale property data, transactions, and analytics. You will lead and mentor developers, collaborate across teams, and maintain performance, security, and reliability at enterprise standards. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Architecture Lead the design and implementation of scalable backend architectures, establish engineering standards, and integrate emerging technologies. Backend Development Architect, develop, and optimize high-performance APIs and distributed systems with caching, load balancing, and auto-scaling. Database & Performance Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, implement query optimization, and set up monitoring for peak performance. Integration & Team Leadership Integrate third-party systems, build secure API gateways, and mentor junior developers. Quality & Operations Establish testing frameworks, maintain 99.9% uptime, and lead post-incident improvements. Technical Requirements Core Expertise: Advanced Python, Django, FastAPI, RESTful API design. Database: PostgreSQL, Redis, data architecture, and optimization. Security: Encryption, OAuth, JWT, GDPR/CCPA compliance. DevOps: AWS/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines. Domain Knowledge: Real estate transactions, geospatial queries, and financial systems.
