Senior QA Engineer, Lamina, Costa Rica

Are you ready to make an impact?Lamina, a West Monroe Company, is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our Financial Services Product Team. In this role, you will work directly with a product team to understand their business needs and deliver effective QA strategies.ResponsibilitiesAs a QA Automation Engineer, you will:Collaborate with the software design team to discuss verification protocols.Identify software application weaknesses and target areas for improvement.Review software bug reports to identify problem areas.Design and install software databases.Troubleshoot automation software and finalize system procedures.Identify quality issues and create detailed test reports.Work closely with the design team to resolve application faults. Design, Build and maintain scalable test frameworks in Cypress/PlaywrightScript and execute automated test cases for Functional UI, API and Performance TestsTrigger automated test runs as part of CI/CD pipelineRequirementsTo be successful in this role, you’ll need:Technical Skills: Proficiency with Cypress for automation testing. Experience writing scripts in JavaScript.Familiarity with manual testing tools like qTest and TestRail.Experience with jUnit and jMeter.Ability to test REST APIs effectively.An understanding of the differences between unit tests and integration tests.Familiarity with code coverage analysis.Experience generating execution plans and analyzing query performance (nice to have). Testing Expertise:Ability to differentiate between functional testing and performance testing, and design, execute, and document both.Eagerness to engage in both manual and automated testing practices. Experience3+ years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer.Advanced programming skills, including automation systems and databases. Soft Skills:Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.Good written and verbal communication skills.Solid project management skills.
