We are seeking a highly experienced Country Manager based in Cambodia to oversee operations in Cambodia, managing supplier relationships, premium product quality and design standards and optimizing production processes.This role plays a pivotal part in aligning Cambodia operations with global company strategies, ensuringcompliance with international standards, independently managing the complete setup and expansion of new manufacturing facilities.Working Time: Monday to Saturday (aligned with vendor/factory hours)Location: Phnom Penh, with frequent travel to Kampong Speu and Kampot ProvinceReports to: UK Head Quarter with full operational autonomyWhy you will love working hereAttractive executive compensation packageInternational working environment with direct engagement with UK headquartersClear career growth opportunities with Jellycat’s expansion in CambodiaSocial insurance, annual leave, and statutory benefits as per Cambodian lawOngoing professional training and developmentFunctional ResponsibilitiesFunctional Responsibilities / External ContactsWork closely with managers to align quality goals with production objectivesCollaborate with vendors and production teams to ensure products meet quality standardsLiaise with external testing labs to ensure products comply with international safety and quality standardsOversee communication with the Quality Control teams in other regions to ensure consistency across global operationsQuality Control Implementation:Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Control (QC) processes throughout the production cycleEnsure that all products meet quality standards before they are shipped to global marketsImplement corrective actions for any identified defects or quality issuesProduct Testing & Certification:Oversee the product testing process for Cambodia vendors / factories, ensuring that all products comply with international safety standards such as EN71, ASTM F963, and REACHWork closely with external testing labs to ensure timely and accurate testing of all productsSupplier Quality Management:Conduct regular audits of factories to ensure compliance with company quality standardsEnsure factories implement corrective actions when quality issues are identifiedMonitor factory performance through quality metrics and provide feedback to factories to drive continuous improvement.Inspection & Monitoring:Oversee the inspection of raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet the required specifications.Implement in-process quality control measures to identify and resolve issues during production.Manage final inspections before products are approved for shipment.Reporting & Documentation:Maintain detailed records of all quality control activities, including test results, inspections, and audit findingsProvide regular reports to regional and UK management on quality performance, product defects, and areas for improvementEnsure all documentation is prepared and maintained for regulatory compliance and internal auditsContinuous Improvement Initiatives:Drive continuous improvement in quality management processes and systemsWork with factories and internal teams to implement best practices and reduce defects or quality issuesIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency in production processes while maintaining high-quality standardsTeam Leadership & Development:Lead and train the Quality Control team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectivelyDevelop and implement training programs for the QC team, and factories, to enhance quality control proceduresRisk Management:Identify and mitigate risks related to product quality and safetyImplement preventive measures to avoid quality issues and product defectsRequirementsMinimum 10+ years of experience in quality assurance or quality control, preferably in the toy or garment industryGraduate level in Textile Technology or bachelor’s degree in quality management, Engineering, or related fields.Certifications in Quality Assurance (e.g., ISO 9001) are an advantageStrong knowledge of international safety and quality standards (e.g., EN71, ASTM F963)Experience in implementing quality management systems (QMS) and conducting quality auditsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills in English and Khmer.Proficiency in quality management tools and softwarePlease send your CV and queries to talent@metasource.co or call me by: 011505 494
