The organisation is committed to delivering high-quality, cost-effective, and sustainable infrastructure for clients worldwide, while maintaining the highest standards of safety, integrity, and operational excellence.Location: Batam (Indonesia)About the RoleThe Senior Quantity Surveyor will oversee all commercial and financial aspects of data centre projects, ensuring profitability, contractual compliance, and risk mitigation. Working closely with Project Managers and Directors, this role provides commercial leadership across project lifecycles — from bid preparation to final account — ensuring accurate cost management, timely reporting, and financial transparency. The role requires strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, as well as the ability to guide junior team members and drive continuous improvement in commercial practices.ResponsibilitiesManage all financial and contractual matters related to projects, including cost planning, forecasting, and control.Prepare and present detailed financial reports, cost value reconciliations, and profit/loss summaries.Lead and manage the bid and tendering process, including commercial review of proposals and risk assessments.Administer cost and variation procedures throughout the project lifecycle to ensure accurate financial outcomes.Conduct monthly valuations and progress reviews with Project Managers to assess contract margins and project profitability.Compile subcontractor agreements, purchase orders, and procurement schedules in collaboration with relevant teams.Track and manage contract variations, change orders, and claims, ensuring all documentation and notices are issued in accordance with contract terms.Support pre-construction and delivery teams in developing cost plans and risk registers aligned with project deliverables.Oversee post-contract commercial activities, including settlement of final accounts and dispute resolution.Provide mentorship to junior commercial staff, promoting knowledge sharing and adherence to best practices.Ensure compliance with internal governance, ERP systems, and reporting protocols.Uphold confidentiality and ensure adherence to data protection and information security standards.RequirementsDegree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline (preferred).Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the construction, M&E, or data centre sector.Strong understanding of contract law, risk management, and commercial negotiation.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project) and experience with ERP or cost management systems.Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail, with proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Strong verbal and written communication skills, including stakeholder management and client-facing experience.Valid driving licence and willingness to travel regionally as required.Knowledge of FIDIC contract frameworks (e.g., Yellow Book) will be advantageous.Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
