The successful candidate will be responsible for performing all necessary functions to ensure customer satisfaction.Primary activities include evaluation of customer inquiries and compatibility with Metso parts and services, coordination of an appropriate quotation considering price/margin/delivery, proposal follow up, support of outside sales efforts, sales order entry, order coordination, and order backlog management of orders until completion.You will report directly to the Head of Quote and Order Management Africa.This position is mainly located in Centurion, South Africa. TEAM YOU BELONG TOYou will join the Q&OM Team and work closely with internal // external stakeholders, such as Management, Suppliers, Sub-Contractors, Clients, Supply and the Sales Team.What You Will DoProvide excellent response to end users and sales managers when taking purchase orders and answering requests for pricing, delivery, product and technical informationProcess customer inquiries, proposals, and enter orders accurately and in a timely manner, clean quotation, and sales order entryPrepare customer quotations based on application, specifications, costs, and pricing guidelinesAccumulates costs of parts via computer system history, inquiries to purchasing and/or production estimating department and estimating costs based on experience with similar/same type of partsEvaluates vendor quotes and shop cost estimatesEstablish selling prices of parts based on previous history, evaluation of customer, evaluation of the market, and company objective marginResponsible to expedite all activities on proposals through daily communication with Purchasing, Engineering, Production, Shipping and Accounting to meet the customer’s requirementsAdministers order entry of customer purchase order and provides required back up information to all other departments involved in the order executionEstablish and maintain a good company image within territory by providing exceptional customer service, a professional attitude and up-to-date product knowledgeParticipate in establishment of pricing strategies and customer negotiationsResolve order related problems, discrepancies, and customer-related issues working with sales and product support teamsAccountable for order backlog management of customers/territories assigned which includes also working with different departments to have orders delivered on time to customersDemonstrate cooperative team effort within the solutions group and the teamPosition requires excellent customer relations skills, ability to work within a team environment, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a very fast paced environmentImprove efficiency of on-time deliveryDemonstrates dependability and punctualityObserves safety regulations and exhibits a concern for safetyShows commitment to quality ethics and focuses on meeting the needs and expectation of both the internal and external customersTravel (both domestic and international) may be required as neededPerform other duties and/or other special projects as requiredWho You AreMatric (Grade 12)High school diploma or equivalent work experience2-5 years’ experience in a customer service or similar roleWHAT SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND REQUIREMENTS (HARD AND SOFT) ARE ESSENTIAL FOR THIS ROLE?Strong drive, and performance orientationAbility to work in a team atmosphereWell Spoken and ability to stay calm and focussed under high pressure situationsAttention to detail and a sense of urgency-oriented behaviours are requiredHighly motivated individual with the ability to work under pressure understand time frames and meet deadlinesSelf-motivated / performance driven focus on providing excellent customer servicePrepared to work flexible work hours to meet deadlines when requiredStrong communication, co-operation and interpersonal skills to manage internal and external interfacesWhat's In It For YouAn inspiring purpose - Enabling sustainable modern life.
