The Consumer and Card Senior Release Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of IT development programs and projects by overseeing and coordinating the release and change management activities of the Product Delivery Team(s). This role ensures that all release and testing processes are executed in full compliance with company standards, organizational policies, and established methodology frameworks. The Senior Release Manager safeguards quality and consistency across the development lifecycle, from planning through deployment. In addition, they collaborate closely with department heads and cross-functional stakeholders to align release schedules, manage dependencies, and ensure seamless integration of test management activities into broader delivery plans.Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for release excellence? Join us to lead and coordinate release and test management activities across our Product Delivery Teams.You’ll establish and run scalable release processes, align cross-functional teams, manage dependencies, and ensure smooth, compliant delivery of IT solutions in the Consumer Services and Card domain.Then your place is here with us as a Senior Release Manager based in Budapest MOL Campus.Main Responsibilities-Establish and evolve release management processes across product delivery teams, ensuring consistency, scalability, and alignment with organizational standards and compliance requirements.Coordinate cross-team release planning, facilitating alignment on timelines, dependencies, and resource needs to ensure smooth and predictable delivery cycles.Oversee execution of release activities, including deployment readiness, cutover planning, rollback strategies, and post-release validation, while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.Act as a central point of contact for all release-related matters, bridging communication between product teams, QA, operations, and business stakeholders.Monitor and assess release performance, identifying bottlenecks, risks, and improvement opportunities. Provide actionable insights to enhance release velocity and quality.Ensure integration of testing and quality assurance into the release lifecycle, supporting test strategy alignment and defect resolution tracking.Facilitate release governance, ensuring adherence to change management protocols, audit requirements, and security standards throughout the release process.Support incident and problem management related to releases, contributing to root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.Champion automation and DevOps practices within the release pipeline, promoting CI/CD adoption and tooling standardization across teams.Maintain contemporary knowledge of IT solutions, industry benchmarks and trends in the field of software testing and release management and apply it in every day job. Ensures projects are implemented in alignment with test management methodology and release plan; and in full compliance with the relevant processes. Oversees the quality completion of project deliverables from methodology point of view.Mentor and influence delivery teams, providing guidance on best practices, release discipline, and operational readiness—without formal authority but through expertise and collaboration.Main Requirements-University or college degree, specialization in the relevant Business or IT domain is an advantage5+ years of professional experience, min. 1-3 years in IT release management, preferably in enterprise or regulated environments.Release Management Expertise- Deep understanding of release planning, coordination, and execution across complex, multi-team environments.Process Design & Governance- Ability to establish, standardize, and continuously improve release and test management processes aligned with organizational policies.Cross-Functional Collaboration- Skilled in working across departments, influencing without authority, and aligning diverse stakeholders around shared delivery goals.Risk & Compliance Awareness- Familiarity with audit requirements, change control protocols, and regulatory standards relevant to release activities.Quality Assurance Integration- Competence in embedding testing strategies and defect management into the release lifecycle.Proven track record of coordinating releases across multiple product teams or business units.Experience working in hybrid or cloud-native environments (e.g., Azure).Prior involvement in project delivery, system integration, or platform transitions is highly desirable.Attention to detail and accuracyProactive, energetic, empathetic mindset, positive attitude, and strong sense of ownership and team mentalityOpenness to diverse cultures and working in a multinational environmentPassion for growing your skills, tackling interesting work and challenging problemsStrategic Planning & Coordination- Strong organizational skills to manage release calendars, dependencies, and resource alignment.Communication & Influence- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Hungarian, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.Driving licenseWhat We Offer-Autonomity in your daily workMultinational environment in the highest smart building in Budapest, MOL Campus Home office possibility - 2 per weekInvolving large scale international projects Horizontal and vertical career advancement opportunities at Local and Group level Professional and further trainings Supportive and human focused team and leaderCompetitive other benefits (annual bonus, maximalized fringe benefits) Free health cover Family and other events How to apply?
