General DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Site Engineer to lead the execution of sheet piling and shoring works across multiple sites in Abu Dhabi. This role involves day-to-day site management, technical supervision and ensuring that all piling operations are executed safely, efficiently and to specification. The ideal candidate will bring solid field experience in geotechnical and structural works, strong leadership on site and a commitment to delivering projects to the highest standards of quality and safety.Key Responsibilities / AccountabilitiesSite Execution & SupervisionLead and manage on-site sheet piling activities, including layout, driving, welding, cutting, and extraction operations.Supervise piling crews, rig operators and subcontractors to ensure works are executed as per approved method statements and project drawings.Monitor and ensure the correct use of vibro hammers, hydraulic presses, cranes and lifting gear in compliance with safety standards.Coordinate and verify survey setting-out, pile positioning, and alignment in collaboration with the site survey team.Ensure all temporary works systems, such as bracing, walers and struts are installed correctly and safely.Manage daily site operations to meet production targets while maintaining high standards of workmanship.Documentation & ReportingPrepare and maintain all required site records, including:Daily activity and progress reportsPile logs and installation recordsEquipment and material usage logsQA/QC inspection checklists and test reportsToolbox talks and manpower deployment recordsReport daily progress, resource utilization, and any deviations or incidents to the Project Engineer or Site Manager.Contribute to the preparation of as-built drawings and completion documentation.Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE)Enforce company and client QHSE policies on site, ensuring a zero-incident environment.Conduct and participate in toolbox talks, risk assessments, and site safety inspections.Immediately report unsafe conditions, near misses, or incidents and support the investigation and corrective actions.Verify that lifting plans, work permits, and inspection reports are in place prior to work commencement.Ensure all works are executed in compliance with approved method statements and inspection test plans (ITPs).Coordination & CommunicationLiaise daily with the Project Engineer, Design Office, and QA/QC team to resolve technical or operational issues.Coordinate with procurement and logistics for timely delivery of sheet piles, steel sections, and support materials.Interface with client representatives, consultants, and main contractors during site inspections and progress reviews.Support planning of manpower, equipment, and sequencing to ensure smooth workflow and minimal downtime.Qualification RequirementsBachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.4-6 years of hands-on experience in sheet piling, shoring, or deep excavation support works, preferably in the UAE/GCC.In-depth knowledge of sheet piling systems (U/Z profiles, king post, or combined wall systems) and pile driving techniques and ground conditionsTemporary works design and structural stability principlesReading and interpreting engineering drawings and survey layoutsProven ability to manage and supervise site teams and heavy equipment operations.Excellent understanding of site safety procedures, quality standards, and documentation.Proficient in Microsoft Office; basic knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software is an advantage.Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
