In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain key product components while collaborating with peers and contributing as an individual contributor.You'll work on HYPR's industry-leading security products, deployed at several Fortune 500 companies. These include:Identity verification solutionOpen Standards implementations of passwordless authentication to help customers build secure environmentsW3C-compliant authentication serversNext-generation application management and analyticsIf you're passionate about security, scalable architectures and impactful engineering HYPR will be a great fit for youWhat you will do in this roleDesign, develop and deploy SaaS services and web front ends, with a focus on scalability and performanceOwn features end-to-end—from understanding requirements and designing solutions to deployment and production supportImplement comprehensive automated testing at the component level and collaborate with SDET(s).Participate in on-call rotation, handling initial triage and escalating if not an SMEResearch new technologies and solutions to improve existing products and explore new directionsWho you areSelf starter - able to dive into existing product and learn quickly in a fast, hands-on environmentTeam player - collaboration with team members, operations and support teams is criticalDetail-oriented—takes pride in writing high-quality, maintainable code and following best practices.Security-minded—interested in the Cybersecurity domain; previous exposure or participation is a plus.Autonomous and accountable—takes ownership of work and drives it to completion. Actively assist in the production support aspects of your work as neededRequired QualificationsExpert-LevelJava SE 17+ and SpringDistributed computing server experience - multi-region, caches, resiliency & observability Kubernetes or another container orchestration platformCloud-first & cloud-native development experience (AWS, Azure, or similar)Databases & database replication - MySQL, Oracle, Oracle GoldenGateStrongSolid CS fundamentals: data structures, clean code, modularity, design patternsUnderstanding of API-first systems and 12-factor design principlesOne major CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab)Knowledge of various testing methodologies including unit and integration testing Experience with data pipelines: data validation, processing, orchestration, analysis, presentation.Kotlin development experiencePreferredAuthentication protocols knowledge is highly valued - OAuth, SAML, WebAuthn, PKI, KerberosOne Infra As Code (IAC) tool (Terraform, Helm, AWS Cloud formation)One dynamically typed language (Python, Ruby, or similar)Performance optimization & testingExperience10+ years of development designing, building and maintaining enterprise web based platforms that services >100K users. Can be SaaS or On premise.Education:BS/MS in computer science or software engineering field. Attendance is required for meetings scheduled between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM. These meetings may be attended remotely via Zoom. Outside of these scheduled meetings, working hours are flexible. This position is a hybrid role. Employees are required to work in the office a minimum of two days per week—specifically Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
