Here’s What You Need To KnowIs this your next role?In this role, you’ll design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance integration solutions that power Heartland’s Digital Automation & Transformation Program. You’ll enable seamless connectivity between systems, services, and platforms, ensuring the successful delivery of digital initiatives like origination, servicing, and AI-enabled squads.You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust APIs, manage CI/CD pipelines, implement identity and access management using Azure B2C, and ensure compliance with enterprise architecture and security standards. This role blends technical depth with collaboration, giving you the chance to shape Heartland’s integration landscape.Does this sound like you?You’re a seasoned backend engineer with a passion for building integration solutions that are secure, scalable, and future-ready. You thrive in fast-paced environments and love solving complex technical challenges.With Strong Communication Skills, You’re a ProDesigning and developing backend systems using Java (8+) and Spring BootBuilding and managing RESTful APIs and microservicesCreating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOpsImplementing identity and access management using Azure B2CSecuring and exposing APIs through IBM API ConnectPackaging applications with Docker and deploying on OpenShiftWriting and optimizing SQL queries for relational databasesEnsuring quality through unit and integration testing (JUnit, Mockito)Collaborating in Agile squads and driving best practices through code reviewsExperience with monitoring tools like Splunk is a bonusA Bit About Us And What We DoHeartland is an NZX/ASX-listed financial services group with big growth plans.
