Senior Software Engineer

Position Overview:Are you a strong .NET Developer who also enjoys working with Angular?We’re looking for an experienced developer to help modernize and evolve a large-scale enterprise application — transitioning from a legacy WinForms setup to a modern, web-based architecture built with .NET and Angular.Our client is a global leader in their field, and this role offers the opportunity to make a real impact by shaping the future of their technology stack. You’ll work primarily with .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework) for backend systems, while contributing to the development of the new Angular front-end.The position offers a hybrid work setup, combining remote flexibility with in-person collaboration at our Ortigas office. You’ll collaborate with international colleagues in a dynamic and technically mature environment.Key Responsibilities:Application Modernization: Contribute to the migration of a legacy WinForms application to a modern .NET + Angular web solution.Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using .NET 6+, C#, and Entity Framework Core.Frontend Development: Develop responsive, high-quality user interfaces in Angular, integrating with RESTful APIs.API Design & Integration: Build, document, and maintain RESTful APIs connecting frontend and backend systems.Code Quality & Performance: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following established best practices and design patterns.Collaboration: Work closely with architects, designers, and QA to ensure seamless integration and consistent performance.Agile Delivery: Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.Requirements:Strong professional experience in .NET 6+, C#, ASP.NET Core, and Entity Framework.Solid understanding of software architecture and system design, particularly around application modernization.Experience in WinForms or desktop application development (to understand and refactor legacy logic) is an advantage.Hands-on experience with Angular (v12+) for building modern web frontends.Good knowledge of RESTful API design, SQL databases (SQL Server), and Git.Familiarity with Azure or similar cloud environments is an advantage.Strong analytical skills and ability to understand complex business logic from existing applications.Team player with excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset.What We Offer:Hybrid work model: Work from home with regular office collaboration in Ortigas.Opportunity to work directly with an international, world-leading client on an enterprise modernization project.Involvement in both backend and frontend development — shaping the future architecture of a core product.Continuous learning and professional growth opportunities.Supportive, Nordic-led environment with a collaborative and transparent culture.About Us:Malayo International Inc. is a Nordic-managed outstaffing company based in the Philippines.We specialize in building long-term, high-performing offshore teams for international clients — seamlessly integrated into their organizations.Our focus is on delivering excellence across software, web, and cloud development, supported by strong local management and Danish leadership values.
