This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in backend development and system design, with deep experience in PHP (Laravel) and MySQL. You’ll play a critical role in designing scalable services, building robust APIs, and ensuring high system reliability.While this role is backend-focused, familiarity with Python, front-end technologies like React or Next.js, and distributed sytems is a bonus.Key Responsibilities:Design and implement scalable backend services using PHP (Laravel) and MySQLDevelop clean, well-tested, and maintainable APIsDrive high-level architectural decisions and contribute to system design discussionsContainerize services using Docker and manage environments with KubernetesCollaborate with front-end engineers and product teams to deliver full-feature solutionsConduct peer code reviews and mentor junior developersTroubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend performance and data flowsImplement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing where appropriateRequirements:5+ years of professional experience in backend or full-stack developmentDeep expertise in PHP (Laravel) and relational databases (MySQL)Proven experience designing scalable systems and API architectureStrong grasp of containerization tools like Docker; familiarity with Kubernetes is a plusExperience with version control, code reviews, and collaborative team workflowsBonus: Familiarity with Python, JavaScript, React, or Next.jsBonus: Exposure to Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ElasticsearchClear communicator who enjoys problem-solving and working in a collaborative environmentWhy Join Roomvu?We’re Disruptive by Design:We love shaking things up.
