Senior Software Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases (manual and automated) based on product requirements and technical specifications.Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members to understand features and technical implementation.Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar frameworks.Perform regression, integration, system, and performance testing.Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.Analyze test results, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to improve product quality.Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.Required Skills:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in software testing.Minimum of 3 year of hands-on experience working within an Agile (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).Minimum of 3years of practical experience in manual test design and execution, demonstrating expertise in various testing techniques.Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in API testing, including hands-on use of tools like Postman and understanding API documentation (e.g., Swagger).Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in mobile application testing (iOS and Android native/hybrid apps).Practical experience with Jira for defect management and X-Ray (or a similar Jira add-on) for test case management.Experience with test automation tools and frameworks, particularly Katalon Studio, for web and/or mobile applications. (Plus)Knowledge of performance testing concepts and experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) (Plus).Relevant QA certifications (e.g., ISTQB Foundation Level or Agile Tester).
