SummaryDescription Summary of This RoleYou will be responsible for providing technical support to the business, engaging with them to understand requirements, project effort estimation, converting requirements into an architecture and design that will become the blueprint for the solution being created and supporting architects in their detailed designs while ensuring governance, standards and processes are adhered to.What Part Will You Play?You will work with all stakeholders throughout the Product Development Life Cycle including engineering teams, enterprise architecture, agile delivery, product managers, project management and senior management. These stakeholders will be spread across the world including in North America, Europe, India, Asia-PacificYou will provide guidance on the future evolution of the platform to meet business and technical requirementsDefining the overall technical vision of solutions and work collaboratively with other architects to bring designs to fruition taking on board their experience and knowledgePromote the IT vision within Product Management and the wider organisationEnsure governance processes are adhered to and progressed as appropriateWhat Are We Looking For in This Role?Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree required in Computer Science or Engineering10+ years of experience in software including 5+ years designing software solutionsProficiency in modern software cloud/hybrid/on-prem architecture, RESTful APIs and hands on experience with specific technologies including Java, C#, microservices, data stores/data bases and at least one cloud providerExcellent communication skills and interpersonal skills including the ability to influence decision makersExperienced in working collaboratively with technical and non-technical colleagues to bring projects to completionAble to go beyond the requirements provided to understand the business need and thereby provide solutions which meet the current needs and are flexibleIndependent worker who can take direction and provide a solutionPreferred QualificationsExperience with Java, C#, Google Cloud Platform and/or Azure, Databases, Docker/Kubernetes and Atlassian toolsKnowledge of modern development best practices including CI/CD, microservices and REST APIsExperience working in an Agile environment with multiple development teamsExperience and knowledge of the payments / merchant-acquiring industryExcellent analytical, problem-solving, prioritisation, decision making and relationship-building skills
