Position SummaryThe Senior Strategic Planner plays a pivotal role in shaping the long-term direction and priorities of the organization. This role is responsible for leading the development, execution, monitoring, and refinement of strategic plans in alignment with organizational goals, market trends, and stakeholder expectations. The ideal candidate is a certified strategic expert with over 8 years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, or strategic planning in complex environments.Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning & Development Lead the design and periodic refresh of multi-year corporate strategic plans. Facilitate strategy formulation workshops with executives and business units. Translate strategic objectives into actionable initiatives, KPIs, and performance frameworks. Align strategic initiatives with budgeting, resource allocation, and investment priorities. Strategic Analysis & Foresight Conduct environmental scanning (PESTLE, SWOT, competitor analysis, scenario planning). Provide executive insights and recommendations based on internal and external data. Monitor global and regional trends affecting the organization’s strategic direction. Execution & Governance Partner with business units to cascade strategic goals and ensure alignment. Establish and track strategy execution frameworks, dashboards, and reporting tools. Support strategic reviews, board presentations, and investor communications. Cross-Functional Collaboration Act as a strategic advisor to C-suite leaders across departments. Facilitate collaboration between strategy, finance, operations, HR, and marketing teams. Lead or support high-impact transformation projects and strategic partnerships. Capability Building & Knowledge Management Mentor junior strategy team members and build strategic planning capabilities across the organization. Institutionalize strategic thinking tools and best practices.Required QualificationsEducation Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Strategic Management, or related field. Master’s degree (MBA or MSc) in Strategy, Management, or Public Policy is preferred.Certifications Required: One or more of the following:PMP (Project Management Professional)CMC (Certified Management Consultant)BSP (Balanced Scorecard Professional)Strategy Execution or Strategic Foresight certification Bilingual capabilities (English & [Arabic or relevant language]) are an advantage in regional roles.Required Experience Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in strategic planning, management consulting, or corporate strategy. Proven success in leading organization-wide strategic initiatives, change management, and performance reporting. Experience with Balanced Scorecard, OKRs, strategic KPI design, and business model innovation.Key Competencies & Skills Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong presentation and storytelling ability with C-level stakeholders. High proficiency in strategy tools (e.g., BSC, OGSM, OKRs, Ansoff, Porter’s 5 Forces). Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization skills (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management.Work Environment on-site depending on business needs. High-level exposure to executive leadership and board-level stakeholders. Fast-paced, high-performance, and innovation-driven environment.
