The firm's core work is holistic at its approach, and it has divisions in structural, MEP, Geotechnical, and emerging construction technology such as 3D printing of concrete, technology, and 3D laser scanning.ResponsibilitiesTechnical Design & ExecutionLead the structural design of bridge projects — including concrete, steel, and composite bridges — from concept through detailed designPerform complex structural analyses, including static and dynamic modeling, nonlinear analysis, seismic evaluation, and load rating of bridge componentsReview and validate drawings, models, and calculations to ensure structural integrity, compliance with design codes (AASHTO, BS, Eurocodes, etc.), and constructabilityConduct value engineering studies to optimize materials, structural systems, and construction methodologies for cost efficiency and durabilityIntegrate innovative technologies and materials such as UHPC, FRP, and precast/post-tensioned systemsPrepare and present technical reports, bridge design briefs, design review presentations, and project recommendationsProject Oversight & DeliveryManage bridge design projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and scheduleApply advanced engineering knowledge to develop creative design solutions for complex bridge geometries and site constraintsCoordinate interdisciplinary interfaces (Geotechnical, MEP, Architectural, and Construction teams) to ensure cohesive design integrationOversee quality control and ensure all deliverables meet e.construct’s standards and relevant international codesSupport construction supervision and resolve design-related issues during the execution phaseTeam Leadership & CollaborationMentor and guide junior engineers and modelers in bridge design principles, software use, and best practicesSupervise design team activities, ensuring technical excellence and knowledge sharingCollaborate closely with global design teams and contribute to the continuous improvement of e.construct’s bridge engineering capabilitiesPromote a culture of innovation, sustainability, and design excellence within the bridge divisionRequirementsEducationBachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (required)Master’s degree in Structural or Bridge Engineering (preferred)ExperienceMinimum 10 years of experience in bridge structural design and analysisProven experience leading multidisciplinary teams on major bridge or transportation infrastructure projectsProficiency in advanced modeling and analysis software such as MIDAS Civil, LUSAS, SOFiSTiK, SAP2000, CSI Bridge, or ANSYSSolid understanding of international bridge design codes (AASHTO LRFD, BS 5400, EN 1991–1994, etc.)Technical & Professional SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on constructable and efficient solutionsExcellent technical presentation and report-writing abilitiesSelf-motivated, commercially aware, and able to manage multiple prioritiesDemonstrated application of value engineering and life-cycle design principlesSoft SkillsStrong leadership and communication skillsProven ability to mentor and develop engineering talentCollaborative mindset with a holistic approach to multidisciplinary design
