This role is a mid-level to senior role and will directly report into the Group Head of Tax.What your work will look like:You will report to the Group Head of Tax and support in managing Unzer Group’s tax position in Germany and across EuropeBe responsible for and oversee the tax compliance obligations of the group, including managing the requests from external tax advisors and providing information as required on a timely basisPrepare and submit the monthly VAT return submission of the German parent entity of the GroupReview of tax audit requests, provide requested information to the external tax advisors / tax authorities and undertake discussions with external tax advisors on tax findingsMonitor cash tax payments and ensure these are duly settled in collaboration with the Treasury and Accounting teamsSupport in updating and maintaining the transfer pricing documentation of the GroupManage ongoing and ad/hoc VAT queries from within the Unzer businessSupport in ad hoc requests from within the business and provide tax guidance as requiredSupport in the establishment of the Group Tax Function, tax related processes and input into the group tax policySupport with tax due diligence, tax structuring and tax modelling on buy-side and sell-side transactionsAssist in group restructuringsSupport in the direction of complex tax research and formulation of tax-planning strategiesWhat you need to be successful in this role:You are tax qualified professional (Steuerberater - or with a similar tax qualification)4+ years of experience in international taxation in a Big 10 Advisory firm or Financial Services Sector or a Corporate GroupFluent in German and EnglishEffective at working with key stakeholdersDemonstrated project management and coordination skillsAbility to work autonomously and to prioritise workloads particularly when under pressureAn appetite to do things differently and challenge processes where necessaryAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentExcellent team playerDoes it sound exciting?Apply with your CV in English.
