Senior Technical Delivery Manager

a Senior Technical Delivery Manager, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.Responsibilities:Provide technical leadership to one development team, defining low-level technical solutions together with your team and ensuring adherence to technical standards and best practicesGuide architectural decisions and technical approachesStay current with relevant technologies and methodologiesEnsure delivery of work according to commitments made, managing the entire process through to production while meeting quality standardsMonitor progress against delivery plansEnsure proper estimation and implementation practices, and challenge your team if neededMaintain transparent communication on progressMaintain production stability for the team's area of responsibility, proactively identifying and resolving technical blockersImplement monitoring and alerting systemsEstablish incident response proceduresConduct root cause analysis for production issues with your teamDefine ways of working for the team in line with global standards, with particular emphasis on Agile methodologiesFacilitate agile ceremonies (standups, planning, retrospectives)Continuously improve team processesLead the team with a positive mindset, managing all aspects of people development including motivation, conflict resolution, coaching, and fostering psychological safetyConduct regular one-on-one meetings with team membersProvide constructive feedback and growth opportunitiesIdentify and develop team members' strengthsBalance agility with necessary governanceDevelop and maintain the technical roadmap for the team's area of accountability, working closely with Product Owners to ensure proper planning and execution (planning responsibility sits at PO)Identify technical debt and plan for remediationAnticipate scaling and performance needsAlign technical initiatives with business objectivesIdentify and actively manage impediments, ensuring transparent communication on progress, impediments, and solutionsProactively escalate issues when appropriateDevelop mitigation strategies for identified risksRemove obstacles to team productivityCollaborate with the Head of Technology to plan and manage team costs, proactively identifying efficiencies while maintaining team motivation.Participate in resource planning and budgetingIdentify opportunities for process optimizationBalance cost considerations with quality requirementsRequirements:Proven experience in software development (Java or JS) at least 3 years with hands-on technical expertiseExperience leading development teams in an Agile environmentRelevant technical certifications beneficial (e.g., Scrum Master, cloud certifications)Track record of successful software delivery from inception to productionExperience working with distributed teams across multiple regionsStrong technical knowledge in relevant technologies and platformsExcellent leadership skills with ability to motivate and develop team membersThorough understanding of Agile methodologies and practicesOutstanding communication skills, both written and verbalEffective stakeholder management capabilitiesAdvanced coaching and mentoring abilitiesConflict management and resolution skillsTeam development and continuous improvement mindsetProactive, can-do attitude with commitment to lifelong learningComfort with ambiguity and ability to work autonomouslyAbility to understand complex technical concepts and communicate them effectively to both technical and non-technical audiencesExperience of incident management and service support processes and applying these to a product to ensure that it is built effectivelyKeeping on top of the latest trends and techniques in both technology and processes and understanding how and when to apply these to your team and workExperience of delivery using a modern Software Development Lifecycle with a technical understanding of each step in the lifecycle, the importance of SDLC practicesAble to define, measure and own KPIs for the team’s performance, using these to continuously improve efficiency and engagementProficiency in moderation, presentation, visualisation techniques and feedback methods with good influencing skills and the ability to make yourself understood to a wide range of staff
