Senior Test Coordinator

afarax is looking for a freelance Senior Test Coordinator. We need you!The project:Our client in the utilities sector, is seeking an experienced Senior Test Coordinator to strengthen their team.Key responsibilities:Coordinate and manage SAT test activities across projects and major releases, ensuring efficient planning and flawless execution.Facilitate the test process and ensure test methodologies, standards, and agreements are properly followed by all SAT testers.Review and validate test cases executed during the FAT phase to guarantee quality and consistency.Serve as the main communication bridge between test teams and stakeholders, including analysts, vendors, PCA, and MIT Test Coordinators.Generate structured test reporting (weekly and final) for management and stakeholders using ALM QC and Topdesk.Manage defect and incident handling throughout the project lifecycle and ensure proper follow-up and resolution.Coach and mentor the SAT testing team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.Lead defect analysis sessions with vendors and facilitate SCRUM or defect follow-up meetings as needed.Promote a quality-first mindset, ensuring strong alignment between agile and non-agile working environments.Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and reporting by proposing optimizations to the overall test strategy and organization.Provide regular feedback to the Test Manager on progress, issues, and improvement opportunities.Ensure proper documentation and reporting of testing activities and deliverables.Is this you?Advanced proficiency with ALM QC for test management, defect tracking, and reporting.Strong experience with Topdesk for ticketing, logging, and incident follow-up.Hands-on experience with XML, SQL, SOAP UI, and related testing tools.Proven ability to configure and manage reports, test cycles, defect handling, and requirement traceability in ALM QC.Solid knowledge of Agile/SCRUM methodologies, combined with experience in formal testing frameworks (ISTQB, structured testing, etc.).Ability to work effectively in both waterfall and agile project environments.Deep understanding of the Belgian energy sector, with proven experience in at least one of the following:MIG-DGO / MIG6 processesStructure, Measure, Rectification, IMV/SMR3DEX / FEX exchangesAbility to challenge and assess the quality of delivered products and integrations.Experience managing multi-stakeholder environments involving vendors, internal teams, and external partners.Excellent communication and coaching skills, with a people-oriented approach.Strong organizational abilities to manage parallel projects and multiple priorities.Analytical mindset with a critical eye for quality and process improvement.Capable of preparing and leading structured alignment meetings (stand-ups, defect reviews, workgroups).Team player with the ability to influence across teams and stakeholders.Proactive attitude toward learning and adopting new testing techniques and tools.How afarax supports you?You benefit from our extensive networkYou will have access to projects that fit your expertiseWe help and support you throughout your projectWe offer the possibility to build a valuable and lasting partnershipCheck out more projects on: https://afarax.be/jobs/type/freelance/
