Job Description
Manage daily scheduling of crew training sessions, ensuring accurate and timely entry of training and qualification records in AIMS.Allocate instructors, venues, simulator slots, and medical assessments in coordination with rostering and operational teams.Detect inconsistencies and errors in data or scheduling.Review and interpret training outcomes, compliance indicators, and system reports to support decision-making.Ensure training data and records meet SACAA and company compliance requirements.Assist with internal audits and prepare audit-ready compliance documentation.Support the preparation of rolling monthly training calendars by collaborating with departmental managers.Identify potential scheduling conflicts and assist with resolutions to minimise operational disruptions.Coordinate simulator bookings (internal and external), accommodation, travel, and transport for out-of-base training.Manage rescheduling of missed training sessions, ensuring alignment with operational rosters and fatigue management requirements.Work with the AIMS Software Administrator to identify and report system issues, scheduling anomalies, or functionality gaps.Recommend process adjustments to improve scheduling accuracy and efficiency.Escalate critical system or scheduling concerns to the Manager: Training.Generate routine training status reports and highlight risks such as potential licensing expiries.Provide guidance and support to training administrators and schedulers to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and adherence to processes.Act as a point of reference for resolving day-to-day scheduling queries.Encourage, promote, and embody a spirit of teamwork.Assess and optimise the performance of direct reports.Provide specialised insights to direct reports.Guide, support and develop direct reports.Grade 12 or Equivalent (Essential);Diploma/Degree in Administration, Planning or Scheduling (Advantageous);5 years’ relevant experience in a mid-sized organisation of which 1 year must have been in a Supervisory role (Essential);Experience in rostering and simulator planning (Essential);Prior involvement in SACAA audits or internal compliance reviews (Advantageous);AIMS experience (Advantageous);Willing to work overtime as and when required;Knowledge of Aviation Industry;Knowledge of rostering systems;Knowledge of SACAA and IOSA requirements;Knowledge of scheduling tools;Proficient use of the Microsoft Office suite;Proficient in using AIMS software, Excel, and other reporting tools.Personal AttributesProfessional;Integrity;Proactive;Assertive;Committed and willing to take on new challenges;Able to cope with changing workload priorities and pressure.Application GuidelineEmail applications will not be accepted;Preference will be given to members of under-represented designated groups.Should no feedback be provided within two (2) weeks from the closing date, please consider your application as unsuccessful.FlySafair Reserves The RightNot to proceed with this vacancy;To appoint the selected candidates based on its operational requirements.Closing date: 31 October 2025#SJV
