Together, these businesses provide industry-leading ways to serve customers around the world.Job DescriptionPurpose of the RoleExecute VAT compliance program and controls for assigned entities to provide assurance that indirect tax is accurately accounted for and reported in relation to business activities and SAP programming;Support local finance and key stakeholders with queries having VAT implications.We all have a critical role to play and add value. Here is how this role will help:Ensure end-to-end VAT compliance with full ownership, including preparation / review of VAT returns and other VAT related reports for European countriesReconciliation of indirect tax balance sheet accounts - open item management - advise posting correctionsSupport VAT process standardization projects and implementing new digital tax solutionsDrive continuous improvement, challenge status quoParticipate in month-end closing procedureSupport the local businesses and other finance departments in VAT related mattersInteract with external service providersAdvise on VAT treatmentFollow-up and implement legal changesEnsure internal and external control processesActively participate in internal/external VAT auditsMeet all reporting deadlinesAd-hoc and complex issue resolutionProvide back-up for other team membersQualificationsAt Syngenta we are highly people focused – we look for professionals who are engaged, collaborative and excellent in execution.
