We bring science-driven restoration know-how, state and national policy muscle, and local volunteer energy to bear on behalf of clean water, healthy trout and salmon and thriving communities.Position SummaryTrout Unlimited is reimagining its flagship website and seeks a strategic, creative Senior Web Manager to help execute this important work and serve as TU’s internal web lead. Working with an outside web development agency, the manager will oversee the design, development, optimization and maintenance of TU.org. Our vision is a beautiful website that engages our audiences and inspires them to be champions for rivers and trout and salmon via advocacy, volunteering, and support for TU. The Web Manager will make that vision a reality. This is a full-time, remote position reporting to our Digital Marketing Director and working closely with the VP for Communications & Brand.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn TU.org Act as TU’s internal web lead, managing outside agency relationships and guiding cross-departmental teams through web projects Work with an outside web agency to develop a new content strategy and design for TU.org, and lead front-end work to implement changes to TU.org Work with the Digital Marketing, Comms and Development teams to help optimize lead-generation, advocacy, and content marketing; develop user journeys on the site to advocacy, volunteering, and giving In collaboration with Comms & Brand staff and others across the organization, build new and rework existing pages on the WordPress platform with an eye to SEO and AI optimization Establish web content governance standards to maintain high-quality, consistent and optimized content across TU.org Ensure consistent branding, design and user experience across all pages Define, track and report on key web metrics to inform data-driven improvements to the website; conduct regular testing and content strategy audits Manage ongoing technical maintenance of TU.org with web development agency and TU’s IT team to ensure site performance, optimization, security and compliance with accessibility and privacy best practices Facilitate the integration of the website with other digital platforms, including TU’s CRM, donation, email marketing, advocacy, and events systems, in collaboration with TU’s IT teamAssist in management of satellite websitesAudit TU-owned websites, including TU-affiliated chapter sites, savebristolbay.org, wildsteelheaders.org, and develop recommendations for their optimizationRequirements Bachelor’s degree required 5+ years of experience in content strategy and front-end web management Experience leading web development agency relationships Proficiency with WordPress required Excellent creative and design skills Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles, SEO and AI; basic understanding of back-end web development Strong understanding of Google Analytics and experience setting up tracking Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
