Job Description

We’re seeking an experienced ServiceNow Administrator to assist our client, a large public utility, in maintaining, optimizing, and supporting its enterprise ServiceNow platform. This role focuses on platform administration, configuration management, and process improvement to ensure ServiceNow operates efficiently, securely, and in alignment with IT service management (ITSM) best practices. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving automation, data integrity, and service delivery within the organization’s IT environment.Location & Work HoursLocation: Remote, aligned with CST time zoneStart/End: December 1, 2025 – November 30, 2026 (12 months)Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CSTAvailability: Primarily remote, with occasional onsite visits as required by the client.Mandatory Education & ExperiencePost-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.5–8+ years of progressive IT experience, including at least 3–5 years of ServiceNow platform administration in enterprise environments.Proven hands-on experience managing core ServiceNow modules, including Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB, Knowledge, and Service Catalog.Strong understanding of ITIL processes and their integration within ServiceNow.Experience managing user roles, workflows, data imports, and reporting dashboards.Familiarity with ServiceNow integrations (e.g., Azure AD, monitoring tools, HR, asset management).Background working in regulated or critical infrastructure environments (utility, government, or energy preferred).Desired CertificationsServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – required or equivalent experience.ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – ITSM, CMDB, or HRSD (asset).ITIL v4 Foundation certification (asset).Eligibility for NERC Personnel Risk Assessment, as required by SaskPower.Preferred ExperienceAdministration of ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM modules.Experience with Flow Designer, UI Policies, and Business Rules for automation.Basic scripting using JavaScript or Glide API for customization.Familiarity with ServiceNow upgrades, patching, and release management.Experience using MID Servers, Discovery, and integrations.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.Collaboration within multi-vendor and cross-functional IT teams.Key DeliverablesAdministration, configuration, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform.Implementation of enhancements, workflows, and integrations as required.Timely incident resolution, patch deployment, and performance tuning.Documentation of configurations, processes, and platform changes.Regular performance and usage reports with recommendations for improvement.Knowledge transfer and mentoring for technical staff.About the RoleThis 12-month contract is an essential part of our client’s IT Service Management modernization efforts.
