The ServiceNow Developer will be responsible for developing, configuring, and supporting ServiceNow applications. Key tasks will include designing and implementing new features and functionalities, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, ensuring data quality and integrity, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions. The developer is expected to follow best practices, maintain comprehensive documentation, and stay updated with the latest ServiceNow capabilities and industry trends.ResponsibilitiesConfigure and customize ServiceNow applications and modules (ITSM, HRSD, CSM, SecOps, CMDB, etc.) by defining forms, fields, and business logic. Use tools like Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, and Flow Designer to meet requirementsDevelop server-side and client-side scripts (JavaScript/GlideScript: GlideRecord, GlideForm, GlideAjax, etc.) and build automated workflows using Flow Designer and IntegrationHub.Build and maintain Service Portal pages, custom widgets, and UI Builder components using AngularJS, TypeScript/React (UI Builder) and related frameworks (Bootstrap, etc.). Support and upgrade legacy UI pages (Jelly scripts) as needed.Integrate ServiceNow with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs and IntegrationHub; configure MID Server for on-prem integrations and handle data imports/exports (Import Sets)Perform platform maintenance: apply upgrades and patches, manage Update Sets and application deployments, and ensure the instance stays current and secure.Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, optimize system performance, and provide ongoing support for end users; maintain high system availability.Collaborate with IT and business teams to gather requirements, plan solutions, and ensure successful delivery. Document technical designs, configurations, and development tasks, maintaining clear knowledge base and runbooks.QualificationsProficiency in Programming and Software Development using JavaScript and GlideScriptExperience in Back-End Web Development and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)Strong understanding of Computer Science principlesExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work independently and remotelyRelevant certifications in ServiceNow platform or related areas are a plusBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
