Set Builder

Role DescriptionWe are hiring a full-time Set Builder for Jesser’s Main YouTube Channel, based on-site in Los Angeles, CA. This role reports directly to the Production Manager.The Set Builder is responsible for designing, fabricating, and assembling custom sets and props used across Jesser’s video productions. You will interpret creative concepts, collaborate with producers and the Production Manager, and bring ideas to life through high-quality builds that are safe, functional, and visually impactful. You will work across a wide range of set needs, including large-scale builds, challenge props, immersive environments, and recurring set pieces.This role is ideal for someone with strong carpentry skills, creative problem solving, and a hands-on mindset who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-output production environment.QualificationsProven experience in carpentry, fabrication, set building, prop making, or related fieldsAbility to translate creative briefs and drawings into functional, production-ready buildsSkilled with tools, materials, and equipment commonly used in scenic constructionStrong understanding of build safety, structural integrity, and practical designAbility to work within budgets and timelines set by the Production ManagerStrong collaboration skills and comfort working closely with producers, PAs, and creative teamsAbility to handle multiple projects at once and adapt to changing prioritiesCreative problem solving with an ability to engineer solutions quickly and efficientlyExperience in film, TV, events, YouTube production, or themed environments is a plusPortfolio or examples of past builds encouraged
