You’ll drive operational excellence, reduce risk, and champion sustainability—while acting as the key liaison with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.🔑 What You’ll DoStrategic LeadershipCollaborate with site leaders to define SHE priorities, performance metrics, and change management strategies.Implement corporate, regional, and divisional SHE policies.Provide feedback to adapt programmes for local compliance and business relevance.Compliance & Risk ManagementEnsure monitoring of operations and industrial exposures.Lead environmental compliance efforts including permitting, reporting, and audits.Stay up to date with regulatory changes and ensure site compliance.Coordinate ECAP and other audits, ensuring timely resolution of findings.Manage data collection and reporting for permits and regulatory requirements.Team LeadershipLead and develop a team of SHE specialists.Set strategic direction and focus on key priorities.Drive performance and foster a culture of accountability.Safety & Health OversightSupport safety initiatives including incident investigations, ergonomic assessments, and SMS projects.Promote a proactive safety culture through training and engagement.Regulatory InterfaceAct as the primary contact for regulatory agencies.Oversee environmental and safety projects, including infrastructure upgrades.🎓 What You BringBachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health, Engineering, or related field.3–5 years of SHE experiences, ideally in manufacturing or chemical industries.Fluency in English (both written and verbal)Solid understanding of Romanian SHE regulations and EU directives.Process safety knowledge and certifications (ISO 14001/45001 or equivalent) are a plus.Postgraduate qualification in Risk Assessment and Occupational Health & Safety Auditing – it is considered an advance💡 Your StrengthsProven ability to lead and implement impactful SHE programmes.Strong leadership and team development skills.Deep knowledge of environmental compliance and safety protocols.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.Analytical mindset with a drive for performance improvement.Passion for inspiring behavioural change and safety ownership across all levels.Our Commitment to a Culture of Inclusion & BelongingEcolab is committed to fair and equal treatment of associates and applicants and furthering the principles of Equal Opportunity to Employment.
