Job DescriptionJob Role: Marine OfficerJob Role IDSECTION I: BASIC INFORMATION ABOUT THE JOB ROLEJob Role Variant: Shift Engineer BoardingManager Job PositionJob Position ID:Value Stream: Asset OperationsJob Family: ManufacturingSub-Job Family: MarineGrade/LevelLocation:SECTION II: PURPOSE OF THE ROLETo oversee the seamless and efficient loading of vessels, ensuring safety compliance, optimizing procedures, verifying chemical quality, and maintaining accurate cargo documentation in adherence to established safety standards, regulations, and guidelines.SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLEResponsibilitiesVessel Operations and Jetty managementCollect Single Point Mooring (SPM) document inputs (quantity, damages, surveyors) from Supply and Trading (SNT) and Engineering teams to gather essential information for vessel loadingPrepare detailed vessel loading plans on Economic, Planning and Schedule (EPS) tailored to customer requirements, providing accurate temperature and density valuesWork closely with the Chief Boarding Officer to sign loading agreements and ensure seamless communication with the Panel OfficerCommunicate effectively with stakeholders, including vessel crew, terminal personnel, and surveyors, to coordinate loading operationsOversee operations for Jetty, managing multiple vessels in shifts, and facilitating efficient and organized loading proceduresCoordinate with Jetty personnel and equipment operators to ensure a smooth and safe berthing process for vesselsCargo Handling and Bunkering OptimizationAnalyze vessel size and cargo requirements to provide recommendations for enhancing loading efficiency and maximizing cargo capacityOptimize loading sequences and prioritize cargo placement to ensure the vessel's stability and trim during loading and unloading operationsStreamline loading procedures and reduce turnaround time for vessels by coordinating closely with the cargo operatorsConduct thorough verification of the quantity and quality of supplied chemicals to vessels, utilizing manual dipping and gauging methods for accuracyHandle bunkering operations, ensuring vessels receive appropriate fuel supplies as required, and maintain precise documentation on Swachh Sagar PortalCollaborate with fuel suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective bunkering operations while adhering to quality standardsDocumentation and ReportingMaintain accurate and comprehensive cargo documentation, including cargo manifests, bills of loading, and loading reportsUpdate cargo records in the ISOM system and ensure timely submission of required reports to relevant authoritiesCoordinate with relevant departments to ensure accurate and up-to-date cargo information is available for operational planningVerify cargo details against shipping documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and prevent discrepanciesImplement and maintain a secure and organized filing system for cargo documentation to ensure confidentiality and data integrityReview and cross-check cargo records to ensure completeness and accuracy before submission to authoritiesKeep abreast of industry-specific documentation standards and regulations to ensure compliance with best practicesSafety and ComplianceMonitor and enforce strict safety protocols during loading operations, both at the vessel and terminal, to mitigate potential risks and ensure a secure working environmentConduct safety briefings for the boarding team and other personnel involved in the loading process, emphasizing safety measures and emergency proceduresAdhere to all marine safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices to maintain a high standard of safety complianceContinuously monitor loading operations to identify and address potential safety hazards promptlyCollaborate with safety officers and other relevant personnel to implement safety enhancements and improve safety standardsEnsure that all personnel involved in the loading process receive proper safety training and are equipped with necessary safety gearMaintain a thorough understanding of safety regulations and industry guidelines to ensure compliance and proactive safety measuresReview incident reports and implement corrective actions to prevent the recurrence of safety-related issuesPolicies, Procedures and ProcessesConduct day to day activities & follow all relevant policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent mannerKeep self abreast with leading practices & trends and contribute to the identification of continuous improvement of systems, processes and proceduresSECTION IV: SUCCESS METRICS (TOP 3-5 KPI's)% Adherence to Timeline for Loading Vessels based on Vessel Volumes% Adherence to Loading Document Requirements -
