Shipbuilding Project Manager (Junior)

This opportunity is ideal for someone with a foundational background in shipbuilding, marine engineering, or offshore construction who is looking to take the next step in their career. You will join during the execution phase and play an important role in supporting the project through to delivery and commissioning.Key Details:Position: Junior Project Manager / Project Engineer – ShipbuildingStart: ASAP (Interviews next week)Location: Rotterdam, The NetherlandsDuration: 12-month contract (with potential for permanent employment)Essential Skills:2–5+ years of experience in Project Management or Project Engineering within shipbuilding, marine, or offshore engineeringBackground in Mechanical, Marine, or Electrical EngineeringExperience supporting yard-based or dockyard projects (new build, conversion, or refit)Familiarity with the full project lifecycle: design, procurement, construction, outfitting, testing, and commissioningStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineering, production, and subcontractor teamsFluency in English (Dutch language skills are a strong advantage)Responsibilities:Support the coordination of engineering, production, and subcontractor teamsAssist in monitoring project progress, budget, and planning to ensure delivery within scope and quality standardsPrepare progress and financial reports for senior managementHelp define project organization and assist in allocation of responsibilities across engineering, planning, and productionEnsure compliance with safety, quality, and class requirementsReport to the Project Manager and collaborate with yard and engineering teamsInterviews are expected to take place next week.
