The Fort Garry Industries group of companies has over 500 employees with locations across Canada.With over 100 years of service under our belt, Fort Garry Industries is always expanding and looking for talented and motivated people to join our team and help with our continued success!Fort Garry Industries has an exciting opportunity for a Shipper Receiver to join our team at our Mississauga location.What You Will Do:Accurately receive incoming product and match the quantity of items received to the shipping documentsPrepare shipping documents for outbound productsPackage, label, and ship customer orders, verifying order accuracy before shippingInspect stock items for wear or defects, and report any damaged or missing stock to management.Replenish inventory items in designated warehouse storage binsUphold and embody FGI Customer Service Standards and Core Values with customers, colleagues, and stakeholdersChampion FGI's safety culture by performing all duties within established procedures and practicesMay receive, sort, and organize worn brake shoe cores for shipping to our remanufacturing facilityMay secure cargo to a vehicle (manual or forklift)Other duties as assignedWhat We Require:Must have 1 year of general warehouse experience, shipping and receiving, or order picker experience using an RF Scanner or barcode gun.Must be comfortable working in a dusty and dirty environment with repetitive lifting of 20-25 lbs.Must be able to meet the physical requirements: Lift up to 75-100lbs, frequent standing and walking, reading small print and numbersHigh school diploma, GED, or other high school equivalence certificateExcellent customer service skills – dedicated to exceeding expectations of internal and external customersStrong written and verbal skills – ability to write and speak succinctly with customers and colleaguesBasic to proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (email, Word, Excel) and ability to learn in-house systemsHeavy-duty parts knowledge or background is an assetExperience using an RF Scanner is an asset What We Offer:A Highly Competitive Wage – eligible for a yearly bonusDental/Vision BenefitsHealth Spending AccountSick Pay AllowanceEmployee and Family Assistance ProgramDPSP and GRSPA Continuous Learning EnvironmentA Casual Dress CodeA Fun and Supportive Work EnvironmentFort Garry Industries welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
