Job Description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Shop Foreman to join our vehicle sustainment team in Ankawa, Iraq. The selected candidate will provide maintenance and logistics support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited ToDiagnose and repair mechanical and electronic systems. Prepare work schedules for efficient operations and maintain process knowledge.Troubleshoot and resolve issues, notifying the maintenance department as needed. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, policies, and procedures.Repair and overhaul major assemblies of internal combustion vehicles. Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles.Disassemble and overhaul engines, transmissions, and other assemblies.Replace worn parts, align wheels, adjust brakes, and perform minor body work.Follow established safety procedures. Guide new associates as needed.Perform other related duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications4+ years of qualified maintenance experience and a BA/BS degree, or 10+ years of qualified maintenance experience.Qualified experience in maintenance, repair, and technical experience in industrial manufacturing, commercial maintenance, or military operations.Experience providing formal, over-the-shoulder, and on-the-spot training.Basic computer skills and experience in document preparation.Proficiency in solving straightforward problems using standard procedures and analysis.Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening; must possess a Valid Driver’s License for the location in which the work will be performed, a High School Diploma or GED, and a Passport valid for at least one year beyond the start date.Preferred QualificationsWillingness to accept both temporary and permanent CONUS & OCONUS transfers to other assignments if needed. Ability to deploy to risky hostile environments if required. Prior training or maintenance experience on MRAP FOV systems preferred.Preferably familiar or knowledgeable with MRAP/RCV systems.Prior training on Non – Standard Commercial Vehicles (NSCV) i.e. Toyota, Polaris.Prior training on the CROWS Weapon Station.Clearance RequirementsMust be a US Citizen and have a current/active Secret clearance.Physical RequirementsMust be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.Must be able to push, pull, and reach.Must be able to work in high noise areas.Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
