We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Shotfirer to join our dynamic team.Job Tasks And ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Mine Support Services Supervisor, you will be a part of a dynamic and motivated team.The role is responsible for safely conducting the drill and blasting activities on site including but not limited to:Magazine reconciliationProvide training and coaching to develop those of less experienceWorking effectively within a team environmentHighly skilled bench practiceEfective operation of the crew when leading shotsSkills, Experience & QualificationsTo be highly considered for this position you will have the following:Skills & ExperienceWell-developed verbal and written communication skillsHigh level analytical and problem-solving skillsHighly developed skills in shot firingSkilled in hazard identification and responsive to safety issuesExperienced in the provision of drill and blast applications within an Open Cut mining environmentExperienced in maintaining communication across several departmentsExperience in Through-seam Blasting and use of Electronic Detonating Systems advantageousQualificationsCurrent Conduct Surface Shotfiring Operations Qualification SSAN - Current police clearanceCurrent Standard 11 Mine Induction (Surface)Current Australian Open Driver's licenceBenefitsYancoal provides a range of benefits to appeal to the diverse needs of our employees.
