Additionally, you will have access to the firm’s resources and expertise, along with opportunities for professional training and development within the Firm.For additional information on the firm, please visit www.simmons-simmons.comMain purpose of the role:You will play a key role in advising on and managing primary and secondary investments across a variety of fund structures. You will work closely with the internal teams and external stakeholders, taking ownership of transactions and running deals independently. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and high-performing team, where you will be exposed to a broad range of investment strategies and client types.Advise on and manage primary investments into private equity, venture capital, and other alternative funds.Lead secondary transactions, including fund interest sales and portfolio transfers.Draft, review, and negotiate fund documentation (e.g., LPAs, subscription agreements, transfer agreements).Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (e.g., AIFMD, MiFID II).Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to execute transactions seamlessly.Person specification:5–10+ years PQE in funds law, with strong expertise in primary and secondary investments.Proven ability to manage complex transactions independently, with excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.In-depth understanding of private equity fund structures and relevant regulations.Commercially minded, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environmentWhy you should join Simmons Adaptive: You will have access to high-quality roles and work within Simmons & Simmons’ market-leading clients.You’ll have support from a Simmons & Simmons ‘sponsor Partner’ whilst on external assignment.You will be given access to the Firms’ resources and Know-how when on assignment.We will invite you to our in-person and virtual networking events exclusively for Adaptive consultants, along with firmwide webinars and events.You’ll be given flexibility to work where and when you want.
