SIMS Analyst –KoreaEurofins EAG is seeking an analyst to join our SIMS group. This is a great opportunity to train and gain experience using Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry to conduct analytical testing of semiconductors and other materials.In this role, you will analyze and test new and existing materials to identify their properties and characteristics for the development or improvement of products. You will also:Work independently to perform the full range of analytical work, including complex tasks. Ensure instruments are working to their optimum performance and perform maintenance/optimization as necessary.Essential Job Functions:Apply standard and non-standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out relatively complex SIMS analytical work to determine the composition, properties, and/or structure of materials. Maintains specified records of test data.Prepare reports on analytical results for customers, including interpretation of results.Evaluate customer requests, determine testing requirements, and prepare instruments for analytical work. Be able to communicate in English with US-based technical team for training and for continued data review process.Work Schedule: To be determined based on discussionQualificationsEducation and Experience: College degree in either in Physics, Chemistry, Material Science or Engineering with experience in materials characterization and surface analysis techniques and equipment.Experience in materials characterization and Secondary Ion Mass Spectroscopy (SIMS) technique is a plus, but final training for this position will require travel to one of our US labs. Job Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:Familiar with relevant quality system documents and complies with all system requirements.Strong analysis and judgment skills.Computer literate, high level of accuracy and detail oriented. Good organizational skills and able to manage multiple concurrent projects.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Physical Requirements:The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office or laboratory to access file cabinets, machinery, equipment etc.Ability to continuously operate a personal computer or lab equipment for extended periods of time (4 or more hours).Ability to handle small and fragile devices with tweezers and /or fingers.Require close distance visual acuity with or without correction (Glasses, Contacts, etc.)Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate a keyboard and other lab equipment, use a telephone, access file cabinets and other items stored at various levels, including overhead.  Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time. Ability to speak and hear well enough to communicate clearly and understandably with sufficient volume to ensure an accurate exchange of information in normal conversational distance, over the telephone, and in a group setting.Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, ability to communicate with visitors, ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.The essential physical and mental requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
