With its new services, SYSTRA supports its clients and partners in their digital, ecological and energy transition, in order to invent the mobility of tomorrow.ContextTo supervise, monitor, and coordinate the construction and installation of building structures and MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) systems within railway stations, depots, and supporting facilities. The Site Engineer ensures that contractors deliver work safely, on schedule, to the required quality, and in accordance with international construction codes, local authority, client standards and project specificationsMissions/Main DutiesOversee all on-site activities related to building and MEP works for stations, depots, and railway support structures. Ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and standards.Monitor and enforce compliance with project quality standards, UAE codes, and client requirements. Review method statements, material submittals, and inspection reports.Coordinate between building/civil works and MEP systems (including fire safety, lighting, power, HVAC, water supply, drainage, and mechanical installations). Resolve technical issues and interface conflicts, especially those involving railway systems (signaling rooms, SCADA, telecoms).Track construction and installation progress. Prepare daily and weekly progress reports and flag potential delays or risks to the PMC project managerMonitor adherence to HSE standards, UAE statutory requirements, and project safety policies. Participate in safety audits and toolbox talks.Support and witness the testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems, ensuring seamless integration with railway operations.Maintain site records, including inspection/test forms, punch lists, as-built drawings, and NCRs. Ensure records are properly filed and up-to-date.Liaise with contractors, client representatives, design consultants, local authorities, and other stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals and resolve site concerns.Profile/SkillsMinimum 10 years of experience of relevant experience in railway or large infrastructure projects (buildings construction preferred).Good knowledge of international construction codes, local authority standards, and best practices.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.Effective communication and reporting skills.Proven experience working in a PMC or construction management role is highly desirable.Proficiency with standard office software and experience with document control systems (e.g., Aconex, ProjectWise) is an advantage.Systra is an equal opportunities company; this position is open to all applicants.
