Job Description

The Site Engineering Managers role will be to develop their team, their departments procedures and systems giving a world class engineering service. Delivering a service that promotes a H&S culture & delivering a maintenance service that provides an efficient manufacturing environmentDuties & Responsibilities Develop a focussed maintenance culture across a chilled & frozen added value function A detailed PPM system that includesTime Based MaintenanceFMEARisk Based MaintenanceCondition Based MaintenancePredictive Maintenance Deliver a World Class Health & Safety Culture By Understanding our statutory obligations and ensuring they are completed in a timely and satisfactory manner Ensuring there is a risk based culture to the tasks undertaken Culture change leading to a safety first mindset Developing departmental systems that promote H&S and deliver workable H&S processes Deliver The Financial Controls To Ensure stores stocks are managed via a risk based assessment Deliver departmental spending to agreed budgets Promote engineering incentives that contribute to delivering savings within the business Ensure we buy at best price or best value Develop People to Ensure we have the correct shift patterns that minimise cost but deliver maximum efficiency Develop a costed departmental training matrix that delivers H&S requirements, business needs, personal development and departmental contribution Set up and deliver structured communications through 1 to 1's, departmental meetings Monitor the engineering team to ensure they are delivering the principles you set out to deliver Ensure standards are department wide and not just the Engineering Managers standard Do things right even when no one is there Improve Departmental Development By Setting up Hi 5's Across the department reviewing on a regular basis Communicating across all functions within the business Becoming a key member of the manufacturing teams on site Moving to a 1 team culture across Fresh, Chilled & The wider businessRequirementsFamiliarity of chilled food manufacturing Familiarity of frying lines Ability to develop and interrogate CMMS Ability to utilise Microsoft office Ability to interrogate financial data Ability to write & deliver reports Time Served Engineer Demonstrate individual drive & commitment Demonstrate leadership abilities Demonstrate a personal commitment to want to develop the role and themselves Demonstrate an ability to communicate at all levels within the business Demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to motivate others Flexibility in your approach to work to deliver & support business needsBenefitsPension PlansLife AssuranceLeave PackageEmployee Assistance Programme - Counseling
