It includes scheduling material deliveries in line with the project programme, and supporting commercial functions by monitoring preliminary project costs versus actual expenditure. The position is also responsible for achieving productivity targets, managing resources within tendered limits, and minimizing material wastage. Additionally, the planning function must continually track and review project progress against the agreed timetable.Responsible ForWhat you will do:Planning, coordinating and reviewing the progress of the Construction programme, taking any necessary corrective action to meet and where possible, exceed the expectation of the clientTo determine resource requirements for works, including defining future personnel requirementsThrough progress meeting with individual and where necessary, multiple trades, ensure that all sub-contractors have all the necessary resources and information to deliver the programme of workEnsure compliance with the contract drawings and specifications, together with the Employer’s requirements and contractors proposals.Accountable for specific areas of responsibility and deliverables and manages the associated risksDelivers activities to support operational objectives for their specific contract, project or specialismInputs to planning activities with horizons of typically 6 months to one yearOperates with agreed operational and/or management guidelinesInteracts with client or users around specific works efforts and deliverablesManage the activities of others to meet deadlines and quality standards taking account of impact outside area of responsibilityFocus of work is predominantly against defined targets but performs a range of task from complex to straightforwardEnsure that all relevant safety, quality and environmental procedures, instructions and controls are adhered to so that the safety, quality of services and environmental compliance can be guaranteed within AFCContinuous ImprovementContribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of process and practices taking into account, the interests and benefits to Al Futtaim and its employees.What Equips You For The RoleMinimum Qualifications and Knowledge:Qualified Civil Engineer / Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in CivilExposure interreacting with clients, contractorsMinimum Experience8 years of work experience in which of 5 years directly managing the project site.About Al-Futtaim Engineering & TechnologiesAl-Futtaim Engineering & Technologies offers customers complete engineering and systems integration solutions.The Engineering arm operates in the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Egypt providing a wide variety of products and services from air conditioning, scaffolding and access solutions, elevators and escalators, control and life safety, facilities management, building products, MEP, Energy Management, Technology Infrastructure and Digital Transformation.The Technologies division provides complete business solutions to large, medium and small customers that include, contact centre solutions, business applications, business intelligence, data management, advanced analytics amongst others.
