Job Description

Position Objective:The Site Manager is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and serving as the main point of contact for the client, within the construction of a floating photovoltaic (FPV) power plant. This role ensures compliance with established schedules, quality and safety standards, as well as all legal and environmental requirements. He/she will work closely with the Project Director and report directly to him.The Site Manager acts as the primary point of contact between the construction company and the client, guaranteeing that all construction activities are executed according to the plan and budget defined.1. Key Responsibilities1.1. Construction Management:*Supervise and coordinate with Project Manager and subcontractor daily on-site construction activities, ensuring the project progresses according to the master schedule.* He/she will hold daily meetings with the Project Director to review progress on site.* He/she will create a photographic record.* He/she will perform progress calculations of the floating installation under construction to compare theoretical progress against actual progress.* Monitor the quality of the installation and construction of the photovoltaic systems, ensuring all components are installed in accordance with project specifications.1.2. Compliance with Regulations:* Ensure all site activities comply with local construction, safety, and environmental regulations.* Manage building permits and all necessary regulatory paperwork required for project execution.* Enforce safety practices on site, promoting a culture of safety among all personnel and preventing accidents or environmental damage.1.3. Schedule Control:* Conduct continuous tracking of project milestones, implementing corrective actions as needed to prevent delays.1.4. Personnel Management:*Supervise the performance of construction crews and suppliers.* Track on-site personnel and machinery to maintain an accurate snapshot of resource allocation and understand production progress.1.5. Communications and Reporting:*Maintain constant communication with project stakeholders (clients, project manager and subcontractor, etc.).* Prepare and deliver periodic reports on project progress, including identified issues and proposed solutions.* Attend progress review meetings with key stakeholders.1.6. Risk Management and Problem-Solving:*Identify potential on-site risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.* Resolve operational and logistical problems that may arise during project execution, minimizing their impact on timelines and costs.**1.7. Quality Management and Testing:*** Supervise the installation of solar panels, inverters, floating structures, and other photovoltaic system components, ensuring required quality standards are met.*Coordinate functionality and performance tests for all systems upon installation, taking into account that Electrical Installation is under Client´s scope as well as the hot comm and final performance tests.2. Requirements:**2.1. Academic Background:*** Degree in Civil Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related field, with proven experience in construction and renewable energy project management.2.2. Experience:* Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction of photovoltaic power plants or renewable energy projects.*Experience managing and supervising large-scale construction sites.2.3. Technical Knowledge:* Knowledge of photovoltaic systems and their components (solar panels, inverters, monitoring systems, etc.).*Familiarity with local and international regulations regarding construction, environment, and safety for renewable energy projects.*Knowledge of project management principles, including scheduling and cost control.2.4. Skills:* Supervision management skills.* Ability to make quick and effective decisions when faced with unforeseen problems.* Strong communication skills.2.5. Languages:* French: native. * English: high. Minimum B2.
