Site Reliability Engineer

IntroductionIBM Cloud platform combines platform as a service (PaaS) with infrastructure as a service(IaaS) to provide an integrated experience. The cross functional IBM Cloud Analytics teamleverages IBM Cloud Services to extract, transform and load data across the enterprise toprovide a unified data backend to internal clients.Your Role And ResponsibilitiesAs an automation focused Site Reliability Engineer in our internal cloud analytics team, you will work on the following tasks:Monitor and maintain the health of production systemsConfigure and maintain network configurations to access data in the enterprise network from our automated cloud processesAutomate compliance scans and risk mitigationDevelop and maintain our deployment pipelinesDevelop automation tools to improve operational efficiencyCollaborate with software engineers to design and implement reliable systemsParticipate in on-call rotations and contribute to improving alerting and observabilityDocument processes, runbooks, and best practicesPreferred EducationMaster's DegreeRequired Technical And Professional ExpertiseBachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (ideally Tekton, GitHub actions, can be Jenkins)Familiarity with scripting languages (Ideally Python and Node.js, may include Bash)Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learnUnderstanding of Linux/Unix systems and networkingPreferred Technical And Professional ExperienceExposure to cloud platforms (IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure)Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)Knowledge of Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)Experience with security and compliance standardsInternship or project experience in DevOps, SRE, or system administration
