We’re strengthening our engineering capability to deliver major overhead line (OHL) and transmission projects across the UK.The RoleWe’re looking for a proactive Site or Section Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting out, quality control, reviewing and producing method statements, contributing to right start inputs, preparing as-built documentation, and leading site briefings. Initially, you will support the delivery of additional scope on the Gremista scheme, before moving on to take a key role in delivering the Mossy Hill project.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out setting out, surveying, and quality control to ensure works are delivered to specification and programme.Plan, organise, and supervise site activities, including labour and subcontractor coordination, to meet project deadlines.Promote and uphold high standards of health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance across all site operations.Support digital engineering tasks including land surveys, mapping, and the coordination of engineering information.Assist with material selection, cost-effective solutions, and preparation of project documentation, including as-built records.Resolve technical challenges on-site and liaise regularly with project teams to report progress and issues.The CandidateRelevant industry qualification (HND/HNC/BEng)Relevant CSCS cardCSCS 5 day safety qualificationExperience working on a construction site with site supervision experienceAble to set out and levelSound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulationsFully conversant with the use of robotic total station instrumentsExperienced and confident in the setting out of earthworks and structuresHave some experience of AutoCADFundamental understanding of bill of quantitiesWhat's in it for you?Below is a selection of benefits that are available to you at Morgan Sindall Infrastructure.Generous holiday entitlement with the option to buy five daysFlexible and adaptable workingFamily friendly policies and work/life approachMentoring programmes and continuous learning supportContributory pension schemeAnnual bonus schemeRecognition scheme and long service awardsCar scheme and Private Medical Insurance (if applicable to role)We also provide the option to participate in our share-save scheme; discounts including cycle to work and gym membership; a support and advice service for colleagues and their families, and more.About Our Energy Business UnitWe have extensive experience in upgrading and replacing energy networks, delivering asset management for major UK energy companies and network operators.Our transmission and distribution services involve the upgrading and replacement of electricity assets both above and below ground.
