Job Title: Quality ManagerLocation: Pittsburgh, PA (On-site with limited travel)About the RoleWe’re working with a global chemical manufacturer, who are looking for a hands-on quality leader to oversee and evolve the quality and process improvement function at a well-established manufacturing site. In this role, you’ll be the key driver of site-wide quality initiatives, continuous improvement efforts, and cross-department collaboration to ensure operational excellence. Reporting directly to the site leadership team, you'll have the autonomy to shape systems and influence performance outcomes across the operation. What You’ll DoBuild & Optimize Quality Systems:
Own the design, rollout, and ongoing refinement of quality management processes to align with recognized industry standards (e. g. , ISO, IATF). Lead Audit Readiness & Execution: Act as the key person for all quality audits, both internal and external, ensuring compliance and proactive risk mitigation. Drive Data-Informed Decisions: Analyze trends in quality metrics and lead structured problem-solving using tools like SPC, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions. Manage Supplier Quality: Support vendor selection and performance monitoring, and conduct occasional supplier site assessments. Develop Talent & Culture:
Lead and mentor a small team; foster a culture of accountability, training, and continuous learning. What You BringBachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related fieldProven experience in manufacturing quality, ideally from a chemical manufacturing background Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or management roleKnowledge of quality standards and frameworks such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, Lean, and Six SigmaProficiency with tools like FMEA and CAPA systemsInterested?
